Complete Ilm Program at 91勛圖厙 starting 2020

After receiving many requests over the years from parents and students, we are privileged to announce the commencement of an Ilm Program at 91勛圖厙, starting in Term 1 of 2020.

Complete

This program will provide 91勛圖厙 students an opportunity to study the traditional Islamic sciences at an advanced level and graduate as Islamic scholars.

Kindly review the information provided below. If you are interested in this program and feel that your child meets the admission criteria, please attend the information session next week. You will have a chance to ask questions and take a form to register your interest.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Time Commitment

  • Part-time (with mainstream subjects) from Year 7 to Year 12, one year full-time thereafter

Timings

  • 7:15am-8:15am Monday to Friday, plus all Arabic, Qur尨n and Islamic Studies periods
  • 7:30am 10:30am Saturday
  • Holiday Classes

Key Subjects

  • Classical Arabic: Syntax (na廎叱), grammar, morphology, inflection (廜ζrf), literature (adab), phraseology (insh尨), eloquence (balgha)
  • Aq蘋da (Creed, belief system)
  • Hadith: (all major compilations)
  • Hadith Sciences U廜贖l al-廎仟d蘋th
  • Tafs蘋r: (Translation and Tafs蘋r of the whole Qur尨n)
  • Principles of Tafs蘋r (U廜贖l al-tafs蘋r)
  • Fiqh
  • Principles of Fiqh (U廜贖l al-fiqh)

Admission Criteria

Boys and Girls in Years 7 9 who meet admission standards in:

  • Academics (A and B grades),
  • Qur尨n (memorization of Juz尨 30 with good tajw蘋d and fluent recitation),
  • Arabic (high achievement in previous Arabic level)
  • Behaviour (previous records will be assessed)

This program will incur an additional cost aside from the school fees
