The College leadership hosted an Appreciation Morning Tea to acknowledge the tireless contributions of our Parents and Friends Community (PFC) volunteers.
The session opened with a dua, the recitation of Surah Ash Shura, verse 38 with translation by Co-President Ms Ayesha, and an Acknowledgement of Country by Co-President Ms Mona.
Ms Ayesha highlighted the roles of the PFC committee and volunteers, shared the Board structure for 2026, and introduced the new committee members. Throughout 2025, the PFC has actively supported school events including the Fun Run, sausage sizzle, volunteer morning tea and many other activities. She also provided an update on the Her Halaqah program, aimed at fostering sisterhood and community bonding, supported by PFC refreshments.
Planned programs for 2026 include the sisters iftar, Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations, the Foundation and new parents morning tea and community workshops in cooking, sewing, parenting and healthy dietary practices.
Volunteers received a small gift of appreciation from the College leadership. The gathering concluded with a reminder on the story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and the building of the Kaabah, followed by a delicious shared breakfast.
