News Student Leadership
26 November 2025
A group of dedicated Primary and Secondary student leaders proudly represented our College at the City of Whittlesea Youth Summit 2025 at the Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre on Thursday, 11 September.
The summit brought together young people aged 12 to 16 to share their views on key issues affecting their lives, with a strong focus on environmental challenges and the impact of climate change.
Selected for their leadership, community spirit, and commitment to youth voice, students contributed to discussions informing the City of Whittlesea Youth Plan 2026 to 2029.
Throughout the day, they engaged in workshops, discussion circles, and creative activities centred on youth empowerment, leadership development, and environmental action. The keynote presentation, Journey to Leadership by Mahamed Ahmed from Think Village, inspired students to embrace resilience and create positive change.
Students also enjoyed activity stations, including henna art, a photo booth, badge-making, and social games that encouraged connection and fun.
The Youth Summit 2025 was an enriching opportunity that empowered our students to share their ideas, connect with peers, and contribute to a more sustainable, inclusive, and youth-driven future for Whittlesea.
